So many things to do!

I found a really cute fall wreath to make.  Went to  my local craft store to get supplies and they didn't have canvas.  So that one is on the back burner.  I do think this would look even cuter with a damask, black and white bow.

The next thing I want to make is a dish drainer quilt for my camper/glamper.  Really cute...no picture as it is in my Glamping book I won.  I will photograph it after I make it.

We went to the Farmer's Market this morning and picked up a big head of cabbage.  I will be making cabbage rolls (Glombki) for dinner.  I also picked up a nice winter squash...yum.  And some apples...I think it will be mini apple pies or apple crisp.  I'll let you know.

Time to get busy on this glorious fall day.

It Was Hot but Fun

The weekend was fun camping at Holland State Park.  We met up with two of my nieces and their Dad and his wife, Suzie.  The state park was very nice, very clean, very full with people and very hot.

Oh my gosh, they were right.  I got the Salty Dog.  Hot fudge, vanilla ice cream, pretzels, peanut butter cups, whipped cream and a cherry on top.  Started eating it and remembered to take a picture....sorry !

 We're starting to get the hang of camping.  Remembering what to pack, how to cook outdoors, and most of all...how to just kick back and enjoy.

Friday Night Happy Hour

It just kind of came together!  After a long week, I suggested to hubby that we just relax and have a happy hour in the driveway. 

So we rolled Lila Jane out into the driveway, setup a few things and primped her up a bit.

The lilacs just came out ..they are so fragrant.  I just happened to make a mini-glass totem and had to keep it for the picnic table.

I then tweeted from my iPad that Richie and I were having happy hour and attached a picture and next thing I knew......

We ordered a pizza and sat outside until near dark.  After these two left, it was getting a little cool.  Richie and I went inside Lila Jane and finished our cocktails by candle light.  Just sat and admired the interior of my little camper.  It felt so cozy and wonderful.

What a great evening it was!

Drove through the State Park and found our "spot" along a creek!  Weather is starting to improve.  Good temps this week.  Just have to finish curtains, pick up the other seat cushion, add throw pillows and bedding, get the title transferred and license plate and stock the cupboards, nooks and crannies!  So damn excited!

Vintage Camper Progress Report

As many of you may know, my husband surprised me last fall with this lovely little gem.

I named her Lila Jane.

She's been tucked in our garage, all warm and cozy, for the winter. Richard has been working diligently on the interior. She is really looking good. We're aiming for our maiden  camping excursion this spring.

Looking pretty sweet, don't you think.  There's much work to do yet, but we're getting there.
This has been my latest project:

Paint removal on window frames.  Lots of scraping to do.

I've been working on decorating ideas inside.  Curtains, bedding, cushions, etc.  White, turqoise, and pink!  Isn't that going to be perfect?
And yes, my husband will love it at deer camp!  They must take their shoes off and strip before they enter.

Stay tuned for more progress as we move along.  Any decorating ideas....I'm open.
