Farm to Table
We had a real different dinner this evening. Shopped the farmer's market today.
Fresh corn, fresh tomatoes, fresh cucumbers with sliced onions, and zucchini latkes. Fresh zucchini shredded, shredded potatoe, chopped onion, egg, salt and pepper, pan fried and a dall of sour cream.
Everything tasted delicous. Fresh cantelope and blueberries later!

Supper Last Night

| Grilled Chicken with Strawberry Salsa |
Tried out this new recipe. grilled Chicken marinaded in lime juice and cilantro, oil and salt and pepper. Strawberry salsa consists of fresh berries, avacado, red onion, jalapeno, garlic and lime juice. Served on fresh spinach leaves.
Chicken was delicious. Salsa needs a tweek. Too much lime juice maybe? Needed a dash of honey.

4th of July
Celebrated quietly at home. Face-timed with family in Florida.
Picnic at home. Family here for bbq chicken, homemade potato salad, calico beans and cherry crisp.
Mom was all smiles.
Celebrated Maggie's birthday with dessert...she missed out on her birthday.
It was a beautiful, sunny, light breezy day. Spent relaxed in the sun!

The Ten Minute Parade
This evening, our downtown, welcomed the Clydesdales. The streets were packed with people.

That's it folks.
Actually, the Clydesdales are here with Budweiser. They are sponsoring a festival this weekend, "Here's to our Heroes", honoring our military. There will be entertainment, music and, of course, Budweiser. My husband, sister and I will be volunteering in the beverage tent tomorrow evening. Maybe I'll get a closer picture of the horsies.
