True Confessions

I tend to be a hoarder. However I did make progress this week. Great progress. I cleaned out closets and dresser drawers. I finally parted with my work wardrobe. (I haven't worked since 2008). It was long overdue.

A trunk load of clothes to Goodwill. A pile of blankets washed and ready for the homeless shelter! It's been a good week so far!

Signs of Spring

As I write this post it is 45 degrees. Despite the fact we haven't seen 60 degrees and we had snow flurries the past two days, there is are signs of Spring.

Randomness

Oh my gosh, the rain here.  Puddles, high water, wet yards, standing water.  Our sump pump is kicking in about every 2 minutes.  The grass is turning green.  That's the positive.

Kitchen demo/uplift is in progress.

Warning, please make sure when you get a bright idea to tile a wall that that's what you really, really want to do for the duration of the your life in that house.  Getting them off is not pretty. My husband was not very pleased with me!  This is the wall after a few coats of drywall mud.

Out running about today picking out a pendant light for over the counter, looking at fabric - want to make some faux roman shades for the windows.  Picked up lots of paint today - primer, trim color, wall color and undercounter color.  I think it's going to look fabulous!

Mother to retinologist today.  Record time today - in and out in one hour ten minutes.  It usually a two to two and a half hour stint.  Both eyes injected.  Poor dear sweet mother!

Off to Grand Rapids tomorrow with a friend - Apple Store.  Hope I don't walk out with an IPhone.

I hate to complain but....come on!

 Yes, this is our yard.  Snow, snow go away!  Today is suppose to be 60 so it better melt.  I am so over it!
I want spring...I want to ride my bike and get outside!  Dig in the dirt, camp, etc.

OK, enough complaining!

Oh, not quite!  I watched the latest episode of Grey's Anatomy last night on my iPad.  What's with the cliffhanger......I hate being left wondering!  Damn!

Oh Bailey, what have you done?  And April, now what?  I guess I'll have to stay tuned!

It's Starting

Spring is in the air....sorta!  I finally saw my first robin yesterday.  The snow is near gone in our yard.  Still some remains in the back wooded/shaded area.  The temperatures are going to be in the high 40's the rest of the week and into next.  That's big for us!

I put the Easter decorations away.  It looks slightly bear.  No holidays in sight!  That's OK with me.

I went to the local store today and picked up a few pansies and re-potted them.

Just a little spring happening here inside.

I got somewhat motivated today - the sun was shining bright - so I decided to dig into the kitchen a bit.

I decided to re-arrange a bit.  I just have got to throw things out and get organized.  I know you have heard this before but it HAS TO HAPPEN.  Thus, I went through nine cupboards and four drawers today.  That's progress for me.  Got a big Goodwill box filling up with more to go.

Tomorrow will be a new day and have set a goal to get a few more cupboards done.  Baby steps each day.

It will feel good when it's all done then onto another room.  Time to part with lots of stuff.  Hopefully I can report on more progress soon!
