I came across cinnamon chips at the Amish store a few weeks ago. I've been anxious to try them in my scone recipe. In addition to the cinnamon chips, I added good quality cinnamon as well. The result, fabulous.

Wheatland Music Festival
We headed to Remus Friday morning about 100 miles from home.
We waited in line for approximately an hour and 45 minutes to get to the main gate.
Wheatland is in the middle of farmland.
We drove up and down and all around before we found a spot to squeeze in!
There was every type of style camping imagineable.

I was amazed at the number of people who stopped at our campsite and commented on our camper and setup. So many nice compliments. Everyone wanted to see the inside of our camper. One lady said we win the award for best campsite, another called it the most romantic oasis, another said cutest site in whole place...it just went on and on. Some wanted to know it was for sale. So many said...just love your camper, its so cute. Even men stopped and admired! It felt really good!
Food vendors, craft booths, music, young and old, put enjoying a weekend of music.

It was a fun weekend but a little too wild for us. We were so far from the main areas for the music, lots and lots of drinking and lots and lots of pot. Younger kids galore...lots of dreadlocks and tie dye. Made for a lot of interesting people watching and interesting sights. At least we gave it our best shot.

Friday Five
One. This week I continued to work on the de-cluttering. I have a pile of things from my closet for Goodwill. Got some boxes labeled and organized with crafts, etc. Baby steps.
Two. Began and finished a book. See yesterday's post.
Three. Washed my car.
Four. Found that I'm thinking about fall. Looking for some decorating ideas. Must admit it's in the air and I'm kind of liking it. Bought and gathered a few ideas for the mantle.
Five. Another fall project. Must tackle the guest bathroom re.do. I believe the walls will be gray. Maybe dark gray.
Off for a fun weekend in the camper. Will tell you all about it on Monday.

Bennethum's Gaylord, Michigan
We had the best dinner last night. The hotel recommended this restaurant. They are family owned and they make all their food from scratch.
I chose the Chicken Scallopini....fabulous. They make their own pasta.
Richard had the Jambalya. Just the right amount of spice.
Both Bob and Mary had Walleye.
Dessert was Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie. Oh my gosh!
Tomorrow I will share some pictures from the bridge walk. Shall I brrrr.....!
